Hanami - Spring at Obirin

Hello past, current, and future Japan Fellows. It's great to see this forum up and running! The 桜 (sakura - cherry blossoms) are blooming this week around 桜美林 (Obirin). We celebrated hanami as our first Shansi-kai. The Gotoh family, Ebara family, Malcolm Hoshi, Akiko Hayashi, Yoshie Fueki, and I attended. We look forward to many more Shansi-related parties in the future. Maybe the next one will be a BBQ?! Here's to spring in Japan. Cheers!

Is there some way to post photos to the forum? We would love to see pictures of the hanami, especially since it snowed today in Oberlin (=_=)

I don't know if we can post pics on the forum... looks like there is an option for it in the toolbar above. I'll try it sometime. The snow in April is one thing I don't miss about Oberlin, but I miss just about everything else. Keep us posted on campus life!
